I am writing this to update you on the steps we have taken since the changes that took place last week, at CFS.
Rumors circulating in the country include 15-20 people leaving CFS and that we are closing our doors. Obviously, you know that this is not the case. We have had four individuals leave and we are open for business.
Certainly, this is not the first time that this has happened to the organization and it is not fun. However, we have gotten through situations like this in the past and we will this time as well. As the old saying goes; "what does not kill us makes us stronger" and this certainly is not going to kill us. So, guess what? Once we are through this we will be stronger. We will have to make some changes and adjustments but, we are working on it.
Currently, we have existing sales staff members who are reaching out to our patrons, others have stepped forward to offer a hand with operations, and the team in Owatonna includes a great group of individuals. Thank you so much for everyone's help during this transition period. The extra effort is really appreciated.
The managers are working on hiring replacements, the positions are posted on our website and applications are being accepted.

-Who does a customer talk to now?
If a customer has not been contacted by a sales person, then they should call Irv Arndt - 507.456.4113, Chuck Wagner – 507.456.4102 or Tristan Wilmes – 507.621.0243 and they will make sure the customer is taken care from a customer service standpoint.
-Will a customer’s work still get done that is scheduled?
Yes, we will have all records and plans
-How will we handle all the customers with 3 sales people leaving?
We will be switching some responsibilities around and our intent is to hire some new expertise.
-Why did these employees resign?
As all of you know, we have been through a tremendous amount of change over the last couple of years. Change always brings about questions. People start to think about where they are and where they want to be. These employees decided they did not like the change, or like where they were, so they decided to make a change themselves.
While it is not that unusual to have, an employee leave to go and work for a competitor, it has been a long time since we have had multiple people leave at the same time. We have had this happen in the past when seed companies came in very aggressively and hired people away from us. When that happened, we put plans in place, we shifted salespeople around to cover customers, we hired great new employees, we worked hard and we grew again. We will do the same thing this time. This is never easy or fun, but we are a strong organization and we will get through this and will continue to grow and be successful.
