CFS takes Connections group to State Capitol
CFS Connections Event
February 22, 2018, CFS invited a group of thirty-three patrons from across our trade area to join us for an event at the Minnesota State Capitol. Our day started with a guided tour of the newly refurbished capitol building. Our members had an opportunity to hear stories about the Capitol's history, art, and architecture, and visit the chambers where government decisions are made. Once completed, we rallied at one of the state buildings and meet with Patrick Murray, SR Government and Member Services Director-Cooperative Network, Rep. Peggy Bennett (R-Albert Lea), Rep. Bob Gunther (R-Fairmont), Dave Frederickson, MDA Commissioner, Char Vrieze, 40 Square Cooperative Solutions, and Senator Julie Rosen (R-District 23). This meeting provided a time to share what they have been working on and for us to ask questions about legislation that is happening in our rural areas. Followed by a brief conversation with Todd Ludwig, CFS CEO, who answered questions and shared information about our cooperative. An evening meal provided an opportunity for our patrons to connect, share ideas and build relationships with fellow members of CFS.
This was the second CFS Connections event, in 2017, we toured the Federal Reserve Bank in Minneapolis. If you have an interest in joining us next year, please reach out to your CFS sales representative.
